Advanced level - Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)

By the end of the training you will be able to:

• Have a strong understanding of LADO thresholds, process and outcomes, including the LADO process and your role in complex matters when a multi-agency response is required
• Be confident in completing a good quality LADO referral and outcome form
• Know the difference between low level concerns and allegations and how to record and report.
• Know what is meant by transferable risk/risk by association and have confidence in assessing/managing this in your work place.
• Have the knowledge of Safer Recruitment guidance and skills to complete a brief action plan for your setting.
• Be clear on your duty to refer to DBS/regulatory bodies.

On arrival you will be met in reception and taken to the training room.
