Aim: Increase knowledge and confidence for working with children and young people in relation to knife crime
Who is it for? This course is particularly targeted towards practitioners who complete direct work with children at risk of, or involved, in knife crime. It might also be useful to other professionals who are seeking to update their knowledge of this area of work and/or increase their awareness of resources available for guidance, direct work and information/advice.
Learning Outcomes:
- Have an overview of key information in relation to this theme and reference points.
- Know how and where to access resources and best practice research for effective 'knife crime' interventions for children and young people.
- Support you to apply knowledge within a suggested response model.
Time: 9-4:30
Certificate: You will receive a certificate on completion of evaluation on line.
Prerequisite Courses: Some experience of working directly with children and young people who may experience this issue would be of value.
