Detail:
'Re-think' is a Portsmouth strategy whereby professionals reflect together on a case (virtually, on the telephone or face to face) to explore the current concerns and find resolutions. The Re-think guidance has been produced to help practitioners and managers across the Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Partnership resolve disagreements in a constructive, restorative way, which keeps children safer. The model for these conversations is the 5 step framework for restorative practice. You can find out more about Re-think here https://www.portsmouthscp.org.uk/training/re-think/. The Re-think process has 3 strategies beginning with a conversation. Strategy two, when needed, is a multi-agency (professionals only) 'Re-think' reflection time - facilitated by the Lead Professional or their Line Manager. Finally, Strategy three is an externally facilitated multi-agency meeting. This training equips Lead Professionals and Line Managers to facilitate Strategy Two reflections.
