THIS TRAINING IS FOR PROFESSIOANLS WORKING WITH PORTSMOUTH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES AND WILL FOCUS ON PORTSMOUTH PROCESS AND PRACTICE. IF YOU DO NOT WORK IN PORTSMOUTH PLEASE VISIT YOUR RESPECTIVE SAFEGUARDNG PARTNERSHIP FOR TRAINING
Aim: To support Designated Safeguarding Leads in schools to meet their responsibilities in relation to this role
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe the national and local context in relation to safeguarding children
- Identify emerging concerns and key messages from local and national research and Serious Case Reviews
- Describe the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Develop a plan for further development to keep children safe in your school
Who is it for: The course is for DSL's in schools who have already attended core safeguarding training. If you do not work in a school ad would like this level training please book on 'Managing Safeguarding in your Organisation'
Time: This is a one day course
Certificate: Full attendance is mandatory to qualify for a certificate which you will receive on completion of evaluation on line.
Prerequisite: To have completed Basic Safeguarding or equivalent within 3 years; Early Help & Child Protection training or equivalent experience. To be undertaking the DSL or deputy role in school, or progressing into this role.
