Trauma Informed Care Training

Detail:

Trauma and adverse life events are extremely common and can lead to significant impact on individual’s physical, emotional and social functioning. The effects of trauma can be experienced by society at large and can be passed onto future generations.

Recognising and understanding the impact of trauma is essential in enabling people to develop coping strategies and use support - and for that reason we believe trauma is everyone’s business.

The course is aimed at staff and volunteers who provide support services to children, young people, families and adults.

Learning Outcomes:

  • What is trauma.
